I was in lake placid all weekend for vacation so I was able to catch the first day. Any hockey in august works for me, and I enjoyed it. Wishing I could see the Canada evaluation camp out east this week though..

No....it means he didn't have a spectacular game yesterday. We'll see what today brings!

Nice to hear that Sparks made a good impression. Hopefully he continues to do well.

I'm surprised to see Brady Vail did not get an invite.

If he keeps on improving his offensive game, he deserves an invite to the winter camp.

I know USA hockey prioritizes the players brought through the national development team, but they can't keep on ignoring the talent just to be stubborn and hold grudge on players who went to the CHL. They have to let it go someday.

They have 12 players on the current camp roster that will play in the CHL next season....that's not exactly ignoring them....in fact, just based on memory, it seems like the most they've had here in Lake Placid the past few years I've been covering it.

Really? Did you seriously ask that? He had a bad game in a practice game playing with brand new line mates. This normally takes time to adjust for a playmaking center.

How many of these will actually make the team though? Because that's where it counts.

Ryan Spooner, Noesen, Shane Prince and a few others should have been on the team last year and some didn't even get an invite to the winter camp by fear of having to take them.
